Research Consulting

Applied research, evaluation, and survey science engineered around the decisions leaders actually need to make.

Research Consulting Four overlapping Gaussian distributions sit on a tick-marked baseline. Each peak sends a dashed thread up to a single bright marker at the top, which radiates concentric rings outward like a beacon.

Decision-grade research and evaluation for organizations.

Most organizations don't have a data problem; they have a decision problem. They've run surveys, commissioned studies, and bought dashboards, but none of it answers the actual question on the table.

My research consulting practice exists to close that gap: applied research, program evaluation, and survey science designed from the start around the decision you actually need to make.

Where I help

  • Survey design & validation: instruments built on psychometric foundations, not Likert-scale guesswork. Includes climate, engagement, ethical culture, DEIB, and custom constructs.
  • Program evaluation & theory of change: designing evaluations that can actually distinguish "this worked" from "this happened."
  • People analytics: turning HR, engagement, and behavioral data into defensible insight, including factor analysis, IRT, DIF / measurement invariance, and qualitative integration.
  • Mixed-methods research: interviews, focus groups, and ethnographic observation paired with quantitative analysis, matched to the question rather than the toolkit.
  • Research strategy & advisory: building an in-house research function, reviewing existing research programs, or serving as a senior outside reviewer.

How I work

Every engagement begins with one question: what decision will this research inform? From there I scope a study tight enough to be useful and rigorous enough to defend. Deliverables are written for leaders making real calls, not for academic peer review, but they are built on methods that would survive it.
