I am an organizational psychologist who combines behavioral science and research methodology to help people and organizations make better decisions. Over two decades I have worked as a researcher, consultant, think-tank contributor, and educator, most recently as a research scientist and consultant at Ethical Systems, the applied-ethics research center founded by Jonathan Haidt at NYU Stern.

My work spans three overlapping practices: consulting for boards and senior leaders on culture, ethics, and reputation; research science applied to organizational behavior, surveys, and program evaluation; and applied ethics for the questions that don’t have clean answers: stakeholder activism, political polarization, AI and emerging technology, and the design of fair institutions.

Across those threads, the common thread is a commitment to rigor and clarity: structured methods, careful interpretation, and recommendations leaders can actually act on.

MH Partners, Consultant (2024-present)

Advise boards of directors on risk assessment, crisis response, political polarization, employee and stakeholder activism, reputation, policy, and strategy. Translate complex stakeholder and political dynamics into actionable governance recommendations.

Ethical Systems @ NYU Stern, Consultant & Think Tank Member (2019-2024)

Led end-to-end research engagements from problem framing through synthesis to executive presentation, on topics including business ethics, political polarization, and organizational culture. Authored research papers and public-facing pieces that helped establish the organization as a recognized thought leader. Coached boards, C-suite leaders, and senior managers on translating research insight into governance, culture, and policy decisions, bringing a systems-level lens to ethics and culture challenges.

Significant Difference LLC, Consultant & Research Scientist (2012-2022)

Led research and evaluation engagements for 200+ clients across educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofits, and industry. Designed theories of change, logic models, and evaluation frameworks tailored to each client’s context. Combined deep qualitative methods (interviews, focus groups, ethnographic observation) with advanced quantitative work, matching method to question. Translated findings into recommendations for leaders making real decisions about programs, policy, and practice.

San Diego University for Integrative Studies, Director of Research & Faculty (2012-2016)

Led institutional evaluation research and program-improvement initiatives that overhauled student success outcomes. Provided methodology and statistics oversight for all student research projects across the institution. Taught psychology and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate level, consistently earning superior student evaluations.
